How would you like to help sustain and enhance a community ski area that has superb groomed trails, parking and best of all is only minutes from town?

Well, you can, simply by being a member of a great group of Nordic skiers who are all part of the Tumalo Langlauf Club; an organization dedicated to the enjoyment of Nordic skiing. Our membership fees are low and signing up is as easy as completing an online form.

The Club has announced its fall membership campaign aimed at current members, past members, students and other Nordic skiers. Its goal is to double membership size so the current facilities and trails at the Meissner area can be maintained and improved.

As a Nordic skiing enthusiast we are asking you to do two things to help the Club in its current campaign:

 *Sign up for a 2007-08 membership.
 *Recruit at least one new member to the Club.


Membership fees are $25 per year for single members and $35 per year for a family of any size. We have also added a new $10 per year student membership.

To make this interesting, we will have a drawing at our first social of 2007 to give away lodging at the beautiful Oregon Coast. We will select one member from the continuing members and one member from the new and returning members to win a night of lodging (excluding August) at the Agate Beach Motel in Newport; this is a $140 value per night.

More importantly, your membership fees and donations support our trail grooming at the Meissner ski area as well as many other club activities. It also provides a financial base for the exciting new enhancements (new trails, larger parking lot, etc.) that are outlined in the strategic vision for Meissner.

We envision Meissner as a treasured community ski area only minutes from Bend; to maintain and enhance Meissner we need your help.
