» Virginia Meissner Snopark

Virginia Meissner Sno-Park is Bend's community ski recreation area located off Century Drive approximately 15 miles from Bend on the right.

The area features 30 km of exceptional track, stunning views and a variety of terrain, for both skating and classic technique. There are trails for all levels from beginners to experienced skiers. Tumalo Langlauf Club now grooms Meissner four days per week on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays from December 1 - March 31 thanks to support from our TLC Membership, generous visitors and various community sponsors.

When you go remember to bring your snopark pass, available at several retailers in Bend, and place it in a visible place on your front windshield. Trailmaps are available at the trailhead kiosk near the parking lot. There is also a donation box at the kiosk to support the grooming operation, so please help keep us groomed. TLC members, please remember to wear your TLC badge, new for the 2010-11 ski season, when you ski to demonstrate your support and help us spread the culture of supporting our groomed trails through donations and membership.

What's the best way to get started?? Check out a detailed Trail Map and then read through our trail descriptions. Enjoy Meissner!

Grooming at the Meissner Nordic Community Ski Trails is uniquely possible thanks to members of the Tumalo Langlauf Club, local business and organization donors and trail head donations. Grooming costs alone amount to about $50,000/ year at Meissner.

The Tumalo Langlauf Club (TLC) provides on-going ski related events and activities both on-trail and in the community throughout the year. We’ve created accessible, world class ski trails for the xc ski community – beginner to expert; they also benefit our parks and recreation programs, COCC and provide a training and racing venue for our local schools and competitive cross country ski teams. Further, for 2010-2011, TLC is hoping to add a warming yurt to the trail head and continues to expand parking accessibility.

Whether you live in Central Oregon and ski at Meissner every week or you live in the Willamette Valley and ski at Meissner several times per year, please consider becoming a member to ensure the long term viability of this unique and world-class community recreational resource.
