Mt. Hood Nordic Ski Foundation
Tumalo Langlauf Club is especially indebted to the generous financial support of the Mt. Hood Nordic Ski Foundation and to its support of the Meissner Project. In 2004, the club received a $55,000 grant from MHNSF, which enabled the club to purchase a Pisten Bully 130 and build a pole barn to house it. In 2005, TLC received a $10,000 grant and $10,000 loan from MHNSF earmarked specifically to pay for the required environmental assessment of the Meissner Project.
Purpose of Mt. Hood Nordic Ski Foundation
A group of cross country ski racers and enthusiasts from Portland formed the MHNSF in 1988. The purpose of the organization is to develop and promote cross country skiing in the state of Oregon. MHNSF does this by providing grants and scholarships to individuals and organization to support events (camps, clinics, seminars, programs) and facilities.
