10 TIPS TO GOOD TRAIL ETIQUETTE
1. Please ski to the right on shared use trails to allow snowmobiles
to pass safely.
2. Respect the rights of all winter recreationists. Do not interfere
with or harass others. People may judge all skiers or snowmobiles
by one individual's actions.
3. Do not snowshoe or walk over a ski trail. It ruins the track for
other skiers.
4. Do not litter! If you pack it in, pack it out.
5. Please respect areas closed to dogs. If you do visit areas open
to dogs with your dog, follow canine courtesy.
6. Shelters are for day use only. Please, no overnight camping; it
exhausts wood supplies rapidly.
7. Match your abilities and experience with your trip plans. An inexperienced
skier on a difficult trail is a hazard to other skiers and to himself.
8. Keep to the right when meeting another skier. When stopped, do
not block the trail.
9. Yield the right of way to the descending skier. Slow down when
approaching or overtaking another skier.
10. If an accident occurs, everyone should render necessary assistance.
Witnesses should establish their identities.
